In this picture you can see the juntor link with the plate and polyamide part. This part is covered with the fiberglass fabric in order to keep the curve shape. As weel there are two holes where are put the plate pins.   Here you can see the pins that are put in the polyamide part. As well the holes for the screws M1,6 X 4. You can see the adaptation of plate to polyamide clamp. The holes are where the screws are screwed to the case back. This clamp is made by 3D printed with 0,5mm less of volume what allows to put the fabric on it.    ...

I have designed a new kind of buckle to Juntor watch. I think this watch is of high end design and finishing. So we need a buckle that is integrated in its context. The buckle would be screwed to the fiberglass or rubber strap with a fastener. Thus the design is contextual. As well I want to decreased the weigth as is as possible. So the buckle material will be in aluminum. It is very difficult to machining in aluminum when the parts are very small. But the advantage is that with big watches the weigth decrease until 3 times more. I will start to maching the buckle the next week.  ...

In the first Juntor we put a ball with a spring in a hole in order to settle the bezel. I t was very difficult to put in the watch case. As well it wasn’t enough to give a good support. One of the ideas we have developed even applied in our Juntor is to put the middle case in 3 spring balls. The task of these parts is to stabilize the bezel on the rest of watch case. As well, the bezel rotates very well although is bidirectional. The spring size is about 2 mm with a spring that pushes a ball in a hole in the bezel. This was the initial idea for sketching aluminium Juntor. We wanted to evolve the old juntor in other watch with other material like aluminium. As well we introduced a new bezel that it turns on the middle watch case. The idea is to build plate and bridges in the same material, in order to decrease the weigth.   We have made a constructor sketching in order to explore a new shape with different materials. Some time ago we made a constructor sketching in magnesium. Now we have redesigned the concept in bronze. The idea is to try other kind of material. Fiberglass strap would be a good solution for this watch case. CONSTRUCTOR Magnesium electron 43 sketch

CONSTRUCTOR Magnesium electron 43 sketch   EXTático LAB shows a new sketch of a watch concept. The idea is to work with different material, as magnesium alloys. Magnesium is a ligth material with a low weigth. It easy to mechanize but there is to care when the machining. Magnesium is a highly flamable metal, so to avoid that problem, electron 43 alloy includes rare earth. Constructor concept is coated with keronite, a  Plasma Electrolytic Oxidation (PEO) surface treatment technology. to be applied magnesium alloys as electron 43, AZ61, aluminium as well. Keronite gets a hradnes until 2000 HV, strong adhesion, wear resistance with minimal fatigue due to 5 microns fro layer. The movement would be the EXT TIPO 1 is based on ETA 6498 but it has been modified with new bridges as picture. Strap would be PVC + poliester fibres with leather imitation.
