Going on with our innovations we are going to introduce the polypropylene strap mold. The advantages that this kind of material is that we can machine it very fast. So we can make customize mold strap because we use cast polyurethane for strap. Polyurethane has better propierties than natural rubber for strap watches. Moreover is a advanced material is a lot of thing like sport shoes. Polyurethane is not injected, it just filled in the mold and it is closed with some screws. We put the mold in a oven to 90º for some hours in order to cure the material easier. When the part is finished the edges are deburred the and polished it. Juntor augmented reality in our EXTLAB

  We have started to develop the Juntor augmented reality project. The idea is to make possible for people to see our watch in their Smartphone. It is very simple. To do so you have to download the  app from Google. Once you have it installed on your phone, you have to scan a five euros bank note and you will see the Juntor on it. The idea is to create a virtual online shop in order to order each watch in this place.     We would also like to introduce our small workshop using virtual realityand develop our own app to do so. The possibilities are very wide with this kind of technology. In this picture you can see the juntor link with the plate and polyamide part. This part is covered with the fiberglass fabric in order to keep the curve shape. As weel there are two holes where are put the plate pins.   Here you can see the pins that are put in the polyamide part. As well the holes for the screws M1,6 X 4. You can see the adaptation of plate to polyamide clamp. The holes are where the screws are screwed to the case back. I have designed a new kind of buckle to Juntor watch. I think this watch is of high end design and finishing. So we need a buckle that is integrated in its context. The buckle would be screwed to the fiberglass or rubber strap with a fastener. Thus the design is contextual. As well I want to decreased the weigth as is as possible. So the buckle material will be in aluminum. It is very difficult to machining in aluminum when the parts are very small. But the advantage is that with big watches the weigth decrease until 3 times more. I will start to maching the buckle the next week.  ...

Spring ball for settling Juntor bezel

In the first Juntor we put a ball with a spring in a hole in order to settle the bezel. I t was very difficult to put in the watch case. As well it wasn’t enough to give a good support. One of the ideas we have developed even applied in our Juntor is to put the middle case in 3 spring balls. The task of these parts is to stabilize the bezel on the rest of watch case. As well, the bezel rotates very well although is bidirectional. The spring size is about 2 mm with a spring that pushes a ball in a hole in the bezel. This was the initial idea for sketching aluminium Juntor. We wanted to evolve the old juntor in other watch with other material like aluminium.
